Our happiness will be twice If we share it and our sadness will be half when we tell it to our friends. We either do homework or have fun together. It’s necessary for us to spend time communicating with our friends.
We are supposed to treasure the friendship
between our friends and us. We ought to change more classmates into our friends .The more friends we have, the happier we will be.

Growing Pains
In Memory of the Past Days
Looking into the mirror, the man there is no longer that little boy singing and laughing all day long with his treasured toys. Instead, there stand a man who is legally an adult, though he is still immature and sentimental. People say youth is the most precious and the most brilliant in our long period of life, and I agree with it. We are strong in body, quick in mind, we are always full of passion,
energetic and high spirited. Youth is the sun in the morning and the rainbow in the sky. We have grown up, suddenly. Looking back of the old days, it seems being a college student can be so cool and so pleasing, no more homework waste your time, no more criticism spoil your mood, no more ignore let you down. We can find our own way and go on it without interference, we can do whatever we want and achieve whatever we have dreamt.
But gone with it, are our indelible years, sweet and sour, worth remembering and unforgettable.
Still remember the days when dad, mom and I sit around the table, talking about all kinds of things, about happiness and sorrows, about dream and wishes. Every time I am happy and excited, there are mom and dad with whom I can share the joy. Every time I am upset and distressed, there are mom and dad who smile at me and fuel me the power to go forward. Every time I achieve my little success, it’s them who encourage me and tell me “carry on”. Every time I put my foot wrong, it’s them who pull me back and guide me the right way.
Still remember the days being crazy with best friend, chasing around on the playground, skipping class to a long waited movie, playing an innocent prank on someone…… the simple, pure and treasured friendship started to grow in that infancy heart.{college,friendship英语作文}.
Still remember giving the gift to that girl I love. Though don’t know what love is and means. It’s like magic which attract you and let you forget all the sorrows and sadness. Seeing her smile became the best time life can’t be replaced.
Days are gone. No more stupid, no more spoil, no more kidding, it’s our turn to strive and fight for our dream. Little bit perplexed, little bit nervous and little bit excited, not sure what life is in store of me, but not afraid, not regret, not sad. I will keep going and never give up.

忘的一节课英语作文范文
An Unforgettable Lesson
How can we forget the lesson Mr Zhang gave us last month?
Mr Zhang was the only teacher who worked over-aged in our school. He should have retired from teaching last year. But he didn't want to leave his platform, his all students, and stay till last month. On the morning of April 22,Wednesday,he stood at the gate of the classroom as usual. The bell rang and Mr Zhang appeared on the platform.Much to our surprise,he was wearing the coat he wore for the first class a few years ago.“Boys and girls,I am sorry this is the last lesson I give you…”He wispered, tears came to his eyes.Hearing such words, all of us were shocked.“Why? Mr Zhang. Why did you say that?”It turned out that Mr Zhang had suffered lung
cancer. He knew about that long ago but he didn't tell us because he didn't want us to worry about him.And now the disease had got worse and he had to receive treatment. We didn't and couldn't believe!
In the class,Mr Zhang encourged us to study diligently and be good perons in the future.
This was my unforgettable lesson.I'll keep it in mind forever.
篇三:《Friendship in college life》
Friendship in college life
As we all know, friendship is a vital part in our life. No matter how old we are or where we are, we can not live without it. As long as we are alive, we need it.
We all grow up with friends. we play together, have fun together, and share sorrow together. So when we stepped into university, the first thing we need to think about is our new friendship.
We may have developed very close relationship with our classmates during high school, but in college, everything is new, including the friendship. We won’t forget the former friends, but we also need new friends to walk through our college life together.
In many people’s opinion, college is a small society. We may meet every kind of people. Kind, hypocritical or warmhearted. But we will not know whether the person is kind or not when we first meet someone. So we have to keep touch with each other to make sure you have known a good person. Though this is not easy for us to realize, we will get a really good one as our best friend once you know that he or she is kind enough.
As to make friends sincerely, here are some tips in my mind:
First, you should not cheat the person who treats you well.
Second, you should be considerate of others feeling and needs, whenever your friend need your help, you should not be stingy to reach out your hand.
Third, be wise. We are in college. We may meet many barriers or difficulties. Our friends need our knowledge or our intelligence to help them go through these problems. Just try our best.
The last but not least, be outgoing. No one will touch you unless you first reach out your own hand. College is open, if you just stay in your dormitory or in classroom, you will never know new friends, you will not have the chance to know a new world. So be optimistic. People are kind in nature. No one will laugh at you. Just be yourself.
Friendship in college is a very important segment. Take advantage of it. You will find the world is so marvelous, so charming.
Go ahead!

篇四:《The friendship 友谊英语作文》
The friendship
As an old saying goes, there are big ships and small ships, but the best ship is the friendship. There is no doubt that the friendship is a precious treasure in our whole life. First of all,she is not just another person you can talk with or wave to as you pass another on the street, but a thoughtful friend.Someone who changes your life just by being part of it.someone who makes you laugh until you can't stop;someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world.
Secondly, she is just a person could make you feel nature and comfortable. The best kind of friend is the one you could sit on a porch [pɔːtʃ] with, never saying a word, and walk away feeling like that was the best conversation you've had.Even you have not contact with she for a long time, but the feelings between you won't fade away as time passes by.
Thirdly, real friends share the same ideals [aɪ'diəls] . While marching toward their common objective, they help each other. If one makes a mistake, his friend will not hesitate to point it out for him, because he knows the frank criticism will help him. What we need is this type of genuine friendship.
All in all ,a friend walk in when the rest of the world walks out.A good friend is a connection to life – a tie to the past, a road to the future, the key to sanity ['sænəti] in a totally crazy world. In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.
篇五:《friendship 作文》
英13级(5)班 王开迪 120110901
Friendship is both a source of pleasure and a component of good health. People who have close friends naturally enjoy their company. Of equal importance are the concrete emotional benefits they derive. When something sensational happens to us, sharing the happiness of the occasion with friends intensifies our joy. Conversely, in times of trouble and tension, when our spirits are low, unburdening our worries and fears to compassionate friends alleviates the stress. Moreover, we may even get some practical suggestions for solving a particular problem.
Adolescence and old age are the two stages in our lives when the need for friendship is crucial. In the former stage, older people are upset by feelings of uselessness and insignificance. In both instances, friends can make a dramatic difference. With close friends in their lives, people develop courage and positive attitudes. Teenagers have the moral support to assert their individuality; the elderly approach their advanced years with optimism and an interest in life. These positive outlooks are vital to cope successfully with the crises inherent in these two stages of life.
Throughout life, we rely on small groups of people for love, admiration, respect, moral support, and help. Almost everyone has a "network" of friends: co-workers, neighbors, and schoolmates. While both men and women have such friends, evidence is accumulating that indicates men rarely make close friends. Men are sociable and frequently have numerous business
acquaintances, golf buddies, and so on. However, friendship does not merely involve a sharing of activities; it is a sharing of self on a very personal level. Customarily, men have shied from close relationships in which they confide in others. By bottling up their emotions, men deprive themselves of a healthy outlet for their negative feeling.
Once I heard a story about some problems that can happen in a friendship.
Jessica and Joyce were best friends in junior grade three. They did almost everything together. Then one day, after a misunderstanding,
Joyce stopped talking to Jessica. For more than three months, Joyce refused to talk to Jessica or answer her notes.
"During that time, I found out what an important friend she was," Jessica says,” I couldn’t even concentrate when I was studying. I just thought about how to mend our friendship."
The next semester, Jessica tried again. This time, Joyce was willing to work it out. It took some time and effort, but the friendship was healed.
Most of us have suffered the pain of broken friendships. But the good news is that most friendships can be mended.
Oxford professor Michael Argyle recently finished a 15-year study that explored what makes people happy. What did he find? The key to happiness is having one close
relationship and a network of friends.
Other studies show that our social connections make us healthier and more resilient to stress. Maintaining long-lasting, healthy friendship is worth the effort!
If there’s a broken friendship you’d like to mend, try the following advice.
Give your friend the benefit of the doubt.
It’s easy to assume the worst. But if a friend has hurt you, he may not even realize he’s done so. Matt, an American doctoral student, remembers two friendships broken by hurtful words. Both relationships were later healed.
"It’s probably true that if someone hurts you, they should have known better," Matt says, "but
the fact is we are all
human and we mess things up.
You need to give people the benefit of the doubt because you will need that, as well." Take the initiative to communicate with your friend.{college,friendship英语作文}.
If you’ve been hurt, your instinct is probably to pull away and protect yourself. But if you do this, the friendship will likely die.
"You need to reach out," says 20-year-old Jamie, who has restored several broken friendships, "Friendships get broken when trust is lost.
Both friends need to reach out and demonstrate they are trustworthy."
Be the first to apologize.
Even if you were hurt, apologize for anything you did wrong. Give up your right
to be proven right. Otherwise the conflict won’t be forgotten, as it should be.
Walk through the conflict together.
Start by trying to see things from your friend’s point of view. Talk about the problems openly but kindly. At first, Jessica didn’t understand why Joyce stopped talking to her. Then Joyce finally explained that Jessica’s teasing bothered her. "I finally found out she was angry because I teased her in front of the boys in our class."
Jessica explained. Jessica meant nothing by her teasing and thought it shouldn’t bother Joyce. But when she accepted that it was embarrassing to Joyce, she stopped. Then their friendship could heal.
Nicole and Michelle had been best friends since preschool. But in college, Michelle suddenly pulled away. "We didn’t talk to each other for a while, then tried to reconcile," Nicole says, "But we’re just polite acquaintances now."
It’s normal for friendships to change. Often two friends just drift apart. Problems come when one friend tries to hang on while the other friend lets go.
People choose some friends because thy are fun to be with; they "Make things happen". Likewise, common interests appear to be a significant factor in selecting friends. Families with children, for instance, tend to gravitate toward families with children. It is normal to befriend people who have similar lifestyles, and organizations such as Parents without Partners have appeared on opportunity to socialize, make new acquaintance and friends, obtain helpful advice in adapting smoothly to a new lifestyle. Other groups focus on specific interest such as camping or politics. It is perfectly acceptable to select friends for special qualities as long as there is a balanced giving and taking that is mutually satisfying.
Very close and trusted friends share confidences candidly. They feel secure that they will not be ridiculed or derided, and their confidences will be honored. Betraying a trust is a very quick and painful way to terminate a friendship.
As friendships solidify, ties strengthen. Intimate relationships enrich people’ life. Some
components of a thriving friendship are honesty, naturalness, thoughtfulness, and some common interests.
Circumstance and people are constantly changing. Some friendships last "forever"; others do not. Nevertheless, friendship is an essential ingredient in the making of a healthful, rewarding life
篇六:《friendship英语作文演讲稿》
Today,I will talk about the difference of friendship
between china and west.
They are differente in four points:{college, friendship英语作文}.
1. Chinese expect friendships to be more
lasting.
2. Different foundations for
friendships.
3. Westerns expect friends to be
independent.
4. Chinese usually expect more from
their friends.
For Chinese a true friendship endures throughout
life changes. Chinese are friends even if they haven’t spoken for 20 years. If you shared something at one time, then all your life you are friends. This is the best of guanxi(关系), the Wide Web that connects Chinese through time and space. So, we can say Chinese invented the Internet long before Bill Gates was born.
In North America, even the relationship in which
people feel close and tell each other personal problems may not survive life changes such as moving to another city, graduation from a university or marriage. If the
people do not see each other regularly, the relationship is likely to die
Chinese friends share “ things in common”: a task,
a class, the hometown. Friendships are formed by people who work or go to school together. You may or may not like the person, but if he or she can do something for you because of his position or job, you can be friends.
But in North America, business and friendship are{college, friendship英语作文}.
kept separate. The friendships are usually tied to specific activities. A person may have work friends and leisure (休闲时) activity friends. Also friends tend to have similar financial circumstances, because friendship in the West is based on equality.
Why? It’s because their friendship is mostly a
matter of providing emotional support and spending time together, so they do not feel comfortable in a relationship in which one person is giving more and the other is dependent on what is giving. A westerner will respond to a friend’s trouble by asking “What do you want to do?” The idea is to help the friend to think out the problem and discover the solution he or she really wants and then to support the solution.
Chinese friends give each other more concrete help. A Chinese will use personal connections to help a friend get something hard to obtain. They give each other money and might help each other out financially over a long time.
In the West, you can certainly ask a friend to
do something with you, but you recognize that your friend may say no, if he or she gives you as reason. You would not expect a friend to drop everything to respond to a non-urgent need such as shopping. Nor would you expect a friend to recognize and respond to your wishes without stating them.
A friend in China is someone who offers help without waiting to be asked. There are few limits to what you can expect from a friend. You can feel free to tell your friend what he or she can or should do or help or please you.
Friends is an American sitcom which premiered on NBC on September 22, 1994. The series revolves around a group of friends in the area of Manhattan, New York City, who occasionally live together and share living expenses. The friendship between them are strong
and touching.
Good friends are like stars. You don’t always see them, but you know they are always there.{college,friendship英语作文}.
That’s all. Thank you.
篇七:《大学第一次英语作文》
As a fresh man, I went to college just at two months ago. But recalling about the past two months, so many thoughts are flooding in my mind. There were so many new things that I felt I’m in a new world.
When the first class I took at the university, there was no doubt that the style of study was totally different from that in high school. It was obvious that we would learn more professional knowledge in college. Personally, if you only make great efforts in study, maybe you can’t have a satisfactory marks, because everyone here is hard-working.
According to the life of the past two months in college, I realized I must cultivate more friendship in future. No one can deny that we can make friends with not only peers but sophomores or juniors in college, and even foreigners. Without doubt, the college seems like a gate of new world. When we are having gone through the gate, we must achieve our dream together.

Topics for the Oral English Test

Can you talk something about the food culture in Guangzhou? 5. Do you think the Internet service will take the place of the post office service in the future? Why or Why not? Notes: You are required to choose one topic and give a two-minute speech. After your speech, you have to answer one question from the teacher .
First , friendship not only give me strength to face the difficulty with courage but also help me overcome it . Then , when I feel depressed and look around , friends are always be there for me and try their best to cheer me up . Also , as long as I 'am in trouble , friends' hands have been waiting for me there as usual . And the most important is that we would go through the darkness Together . What's more , we can share the happiness and sadness with each other as we are part of each other's life !
Everybody need friendship . Have people can sail among ocean for life alone ? We need others' help and sure to offer others help too . The friends' importance is not spoken and met . Obviously , There is no doubt that everyone needs friends . We should treat with all sincerity to friends . Doctors can cure our body's diseases with medicine , but who can ever really have a happy mind or get over mental problems without friends? Friends make you happy . Friends listen to your problems and offer you advice . A true friend can share your joys and troubles .
Surely they play an important role in my lie. I agree that friends are your relatives chosen by yourself. My friends accompany me when I am happy or sad. I think your happiness will be doubled and sadness will be halve if they are shared by your friends. In addition to that, food friends offer me valuable suggestions when I feel lost.

After entering college, we found, to our surprise, that differences between high school life and college life are great. In high school, we always depended on our parents and teachers to solve all kinds of difficult problems. At college, however, we have to rely exclusively on ourselves. What's more, we have to learn how to get along with our classmates and roommates.
Four years at college is an important yet very short period of time in our life. So it is always expected that we adapt to this life as quickly as possible. But it is a pity that not everyone can do so immediately. Here are some suggestions.
First, get familiar with the main buildings on the campus. Spend one or two hours by yourself or with your classmates to go around the campus so that you can know the location of such important places as the library, the dining room, the post office, the clinic and classrooms. Next, try to be independent. Learn to do such things as making sound decisions on how to spend your time, how to spend your money etc, and washing clothes on your own. Furthermore, form good study habits. Talk with your classmates and learn from their good habits. Finally, try to take part in all kinds of activities to get out of your solitude and get on well with your classmates.
My college life
The college life is wonderful. All life in school are fresh. New teachers, new classmates and fresh friends are around me. I’ve felt their friendship, wide knowledge and opening mind. The grand library, school buildings and wide playground are very attracting to me. I am very eager to learn much knowledge quickly. In high school, I was ever called as a runner before time. Now,I know I am behind time so much in fact. I hope to catch up with the time by my hard studying. Every day, you can see me get up early, doing exercise hard and go to school the first one. At night, I am the one who leaves away the library. The most interesting thing is that I can’t speak the PUTONGHUA well and made many funny events at the beginning, as I am from South. When I entered the classroom at first time, I was headache as I couldn’t understand what the professor was speaking. I met much difficulties at math, physics and other courses, even though I used to be good at these sciences. Therefore, I learn these courses myself after class. After three months, the exmination indicated that I overcame all the difficlties. I also improved my listening and spoken
ability of Chinese quickly. Communication is very important to my college life. I study English hard as well. It makes me have many chances to communicate with foreigners. I made friends with many foreign teachers and students. From them, I learn many knowledge about foreign cultures. The computer room is another place I like to staying. I contact the outside world by the internet. All the News, advance science, and the information about internal and outside of China.
